We have a young client we have enjoyed celebrating with.  Each year, the weather has always been a challenge.  

In 2009 we created an artist party it was summer in Melbourne and 40 degrees, so we indulged in icicles.  

In 2010 we created a babushkas doll party {our invitations are for sale on etsy}, it was 40 degrees and we indulged in an ice cream parlour.  

So for 2011 we decided to get smart, we had a pool party, it was the perfect celebration.  This year we created flip flop invitations. There were 10 designs to choose from. {available on etsy}

Creating these handmade invitations was fun.  We created 10 different flip flop designs.  Our client was very happy and they had the opportunity to choose which colours and embellishment suited each guest.

matryoshka phenomenon

we're celebrating our gorgeous dolly's 5th birthdy party with her favourity russian treasures, this is miss o's invitation, a matryoshka doll, also known as a russian nested doll or a babushka doll, which is a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other {wikipedia}.

a 5th birthday is a real milestone. miss o is excited about her birthday and about becoming a school kid!

winter / white / wonderland / wow

after some careful consideration, i agreed to plan and execute a corporate business annual dinner party. i have worked with the company for the past 15 years, so i knew how large the task was.


thinking of new themes each year and a venue that can cater for so many people has been an ongoing challenge.  270 people!


i hand made all the invitations which needed to be sent to 31 different departments.


each invitation was teamed with a white marshmallow stick {3 marshmallows, coated in white chocolate and then rolled in shredded white chocolate with coconut, yum.}


this job was a major task, but one i thoroughly enjoy and look forward to each year.

boys and their toys

10 days after we moved into our dream home, master d celebrated his 2nd birthday, crazy times....i made his invitation, i placed a toy car inside a plastic cylinder on one side and had the words on the other side.....these words were the inspiration for his party

Cars & trains, boats & planes, these are a few of my favorite things.

Tractors & trucks are great, it's true, especially for master d who's turning two.
