Big Splash

We have a young client we have enjoyed celebrating with.  Each year, the weather has always been a challenge.

In 2009 we created an artist party it was summer in Melbourne and 40 degrees, so we indulged in icicles.

In 2010 we created a babushkas doll party {our invitations are for sale on etsy}, it was 40 degrees and we indulged in an ice cream parlour.

So for 2011 we decided to get smart, we had a pool party, it was the perfect celebration.  This year we created flip flop invitations. There were 10 designs to choose from. {available on etsy}

We would love to help you plan your pool party including tips for invitations, decorations, music, and the menu, please contact event management specialists - Parties By Georgia, via email: partyevents@me.com or telephone 0418.356.265

Summer Dayz
What better way to celebrate - with the sun, family and friends!
Our newest client requested a pool party and we felt that this invitation sets the seen for the event.
Creating these handmade invitations was fun.  We created 10 different flip flop designs.  Our client was very happy and they had the opportunity to choose which colours and embellishment suited each guest.

russian extravaganza
We had a super busy day getting ready for miss O's fifth birthday party - I thought I would share some pictures.  Currently, she has an infatuation with dolls and particularly matryoshka doll, also known as a russian nested doll or a babushka doll, which is a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other {wikipedia}.
After sandwiches and fruit the girls headed to the art table to make there very own doll.

miss o thoroughly enjoyed her party....now she is discussing her 6th birthday....

handmade stationery set

this is a stationery set i wanted to share with you, a gift i made for my young cousin.

people everywhere appear to be tech savvy, i think sometimes, we forget how great it is to write or receive a handwritten card.

it was my cousin's birthday & i thought she may enjoy a gift of a 'simple' nature.

the stationery set has pockets in the front, back and the inside to hold cards and envelopes and don't ya just love the notepad inside with a handy little clip?

if you're interested i can send you the tutorial & you could make this set too.

lunch for my closest 250 gal pals

recently i co-chaired a charity luncheon.  we decided to work with the theme of love...red, red, red.  we aimed to create a relaxed, informal yet fun atmosphere in which guests could catch up with one another - as it is usually at the same time each year - whilst still managing to raise funds.

the idea was to keep things simple - no fashion shows, no make over demonstrations - just a good lunch, a few glasses of champagne and the laughs which were supplied by special guest rachel berger, stand up comedian, broadcaster, novelist, columnist, agitator and television entertainer.

program of the day...
champagne reception on arrival with percussion ensemble
full catered lunch donated by participants
{delivered prior to start of event}
3 piece jazz band
after lunch appearance by rachel berger
full catered dessert donated by participants
{delivered prior to start of event}
coffee and tea, barista available all day

the charity takes place in a private home.
we exceed expectations and were thrilled!

haystacks, Jack-o-lantern, cauldrons & costumes, oh my!
in the past, halloween has been an american holiday.
this year the festivities seem to be everywhere in melbourne.

much to my delight, i was asked to plan a halloween party for miss e and her girlfriends.

i converted a garage into a spooky space.  the lights were turned down and silver stars covered the walls, floors and party tables, even last years pink tea party chairs were converted to suit the theme!

miss e was kept at arms distance throughout the preparations, luckily she was delighted with the finishing product.  happy halloween miss e!
